In May 2026, Malhar – Indian Music Band from Munich had the opportunity to perform at a beautiful private Desi Wedding at the famous LOKschuppen in Simbach am Inn. For us, this was much more than another live music performance. It was a challenge to create the right musical atmosphere for a diverse audience and bring the energy, colour and spirit of a **Desi wedding in Germany to life.
One Desi Wedding, Many Audiences, One Celebration
Performing at a Desi wedding in Germany can be very different from performing at a concert or festival.
The audience can include Indian families, German guests, friends from different cultural backgrounds and people of completely different generations. From young children to grandparents, everyone experiences music differently.
Our challenge was therefore not simply to play songs.
We had to understand the mood of the wedding, follow the emotions of the celebration, create special moments for the family and, when the time was right, get everyone onto the dance floor.
That is exactly where Malhar’s approach to live music comes in.
